Position: Senior or Staff Operating System Researcher
Organization: The Computer Science Lab of Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology
Location: San Jose, California, USA

Job Duties:
* Conduct research and develop prototypes for next generation operating system technologies for multicore consumer electronics platforms.
* Create patents and publish papers in refereed conferences and journals.

Education:
PhD Computer Science or engineering, or Master in Computer Science with at least 5 years of research experiences.

Required Skills:
* Deep knowledge and research experiences in operating system design and prototyping.
* Deep knowledge and research experiences in scheduling.
* Knowledge and programming experiences in Web browser internals.
* Good understanding and experiences in parallel processing and parallel programming.
* Programming skills in common programming languages such as C, C++
* Ability to work independently as a self starter.
* Excellent communication and team working skills with a willingness to work with an international team to deliver rapid prototypes.

Desired Skills:
* Embedded system programming, especially multicore embedded system programming.
* Experiences of using parallel libraries such as TBB, CUDA, OpenMP, or equivalent.
* Track record of delivering tangible results from research projects
* Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment
* Ability to create a research agenda.
