The Lab for Social Research is looking for talented programmer to assist in the design and maintenance of a JavaScript web application that functions to facilitate real-time interaction online between participants in small groups. The right candidate will be able to dive into the existing code to understand, debug, and further develop the application for subsequent studies.

Past laboratory research assistants have gone on to PhD programs at Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Cornell, Columbia, and UC Berkeley, as well as private sector research jobs in the Bay Area.

Required Skills
Expertise in JavaScript
Proficiency with Heroku, MongoDB, and MeteorJS
Experience with front-end web applications (debugging/development)

Responsibilities include reviewing existing code and framework to familiarize yourself with the current state of the project, editing and developing code to improve and maintain functionality, and programming a second iteration of the application for subsequent studies.
