Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Software Engineering Intern for front end design & build (mobile or web), focused on prototypical command, control, and entertainment systems.

This position is located at Ford’s Research and Innovation Center in Palo Alto, CA.

The intern assignment is primarily project based, comprising hands-on experience that will develop you technically and professionally. Over a 12-week period, the internship will let you build a network of friends and contacts, enjoy sunny Palo Alto, learn valuable skills, and see what Ford Motor Company is all about.

Seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

*Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field
*3.0 overall GPA minimum
*Strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
*Experience with web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, GraphQL).
*A natural curiosity and desire to understand and even contribute to the entire technology stack
*Familiarity with code versioning tools (especially git and GitHub)
*Excellent written and oral communication
