"Foundations of Uncertain-Data Integration"

Abstract:

Motivated by applications like information extraction, deduplication and data cleaning, and sensor deployments there has been a flurry of recent work studying uncertain databases. Often in such applications, the data may be obtained from multiple sources that may be overlapping. We develop the foundations for integrating uncertain data from multiple sources. In addition to allowing access to multiple sources from a single mediated schema, integration also allows us to get more certain results.
