Bio:
Clara Shih is CEO of Hearsay Social, a 200-person predictive analytics software startup she co-founded with Steve Garrity (also CS co-term '05) in 2010. A pioneer in the social media industry, Clara developed the first social business application in 2007 and is a New York Times-featured bestselling author. She has been named one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, Fast Company’s Most Influential People in Technology, and Businessweek’s Top Young Entrepreneurs. Clara previously served in a variety of technical, product, and marketing roles at Google, Microsoft, and Salesforce.com. At Stanford, Clara co-termed in CS, was a Mayfield Fellow and Terman Engineering Fellow, and did research under Terry Winograd and Armando Fox. Clara also earned an MS in Internet Studies from Oxford as a Marshall Scholar.
