Array compression is a technique to reduce data size and reconstruction computation for MRI with large coil arrays. The original data are compressed into fewer virtual coils, on which the MR reconstruction (e.g., compressed sensing) is performed. In this work, an efficient array compression method for 3D Cartesian sampling is proposed. The reconstruction time is highly accelerated by the proposed method, and it is now clinically practical.
