2012 Poster Sessions : Repair Guidance in a WYSIWYG Data Editor

Student Name : Eric Kao
Advisor : Mike Genesereth
Research Areas: Artificial Intelligence
Abstract:
Nonspecialists typically edit databases using a WYSIWYG data editor. As the data is edited, it may violate the governing constraints. The user must repair the constraint violations before the changes can be committed. This poster describes a visual interface and its underlying algorithms for guiding a user through the task of repairing multiple violations of complex constraints.
