2014 Poster Sessions : Indexing In RamCloud

Abstract:
RamCloud is a distributed key-value store that keeps all its data in DRAM at all times. Our work focuses on providing higher level data features on top of RamCloud without sacrificing the latency or scalability of the system. Specifically, we provide lookup and range queries on attributes that are not primary keys. Our work concerns with providing durable distributed B+ trees within the RamCloud framework. We design policies to efficiently partition and store indexes in memory. Our system handle consistency and intermittent failure to guarantee a highly available and fault-tolerant system. We’re currently in the process of benchmarking our system.
